Hi
First off, I have a version of bristuff with asterisk patches for
1.4.22-rc3 . That is: for chan_dahdi (but still zaptel). libpri is still
stuck at 1.4.3[1] and as usual there are some minor improvements of the
build scripts.
I killed most of the zaptel patches. Instead I put a patch derived from
http://repo.or.cz/w/asterisk-bristuff.git?a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/bristuff-part-dahdi-all
As you can see, my latest change there was something to do with a
locking fix. I hope it indeed helped.
The current version of the bristuff build is at
http://updates.xorcom.com/astribank/bristuff/1.4/bristuff-0.4.0-RC4-xr1.tar.gz
I labeled it explicitly as "experimental" and did not link it as the
"current" 1.4 bristuff, as I have not yet tested it. This brings me to
my next point.
The bristuff versions have previously been delayed by testing. I would
not want our customers to download buggy versions. But the result was
that eager testers couldn't get them either. Which means I have to do
more in-house testing and can use less external testing. And others get
patch I already have in a delay that depends on some arbitrary schedule
of mine.
Simply putting this in a remote repository aparanly doesn't help. I put
asterisk and libpri and got just about zero feedback (e.g: regarding
osme aparantly very silly things I do with the repository). So I'm not
really sure it will help. The bristuff distribution is currently
maintained as part of our local subversion repository.
So feel free to contact me about this on or off list.
[1] the libpri git repository has a branch to merge some of the newer
features, but I'm not sure how to move forward there. I'd also like to
sort out Asterisk first.
